Well in the comments of the YouTube video of this, a guy explained that the lion they were hunting had already mauled a worker to death, and they were going to kill it because it preys on humans.  They actually did kill it apparently, first they shot it in the shoulder, then it charged them, then right before the lion tackled the guy the hunter shot the lion in the head.  Apparently this was on Discovery.

well i disagree with hunting in most circumstances simply because of my compassion to a defenseless and beautiful animal minding it's own business. i just think that shooting something like that is sad. if the lion had more of an option or was being a burden to a surrounding community, then i would find it less of a bad thing, but under circumstances like these, i certainly am against hunting. if the hunters were at least a bit more humble, i wouldnt mind.

we've all seen threads with arguments about hunting and people simply have different views. this video though, really put me against it though.

it depends.

obviously by your post your biased in your animals. all because its "cool" doesn't mean it should or should not be killed. if you're a hunter, that would probably be the most difficult things to kill.

if the animal is not endangered, and in the proces of killing it they don't harm the environment or disrupt the food chain, it's really not a big deal in my opinion. hunting seems like a pretty cool thing to get into, tracking the animal, shooting, living in harsh environments, so many skills and disciplines involved all in one activity.

that was the sickest thing i have ever seen, that thing covered ground in no time and lunged like 20 ft like it was nothing. i wish it had taken that mother fuckers head off and left it on his doorstep for wife and kids to find. most majestic animal to ever live.
