SKI ADVICE

alright, whats up. lookin for some ski advice. i am an advanced park skier, but i dont ski just park. i'm looking for some skis that are good in park (jumps, rails, jibs, etc) and that can also perform pretty well in the trees and some powder. i'm 14 , i'll probably be like 5'5 next season aha, and 110 pounds (but growing.) i was looking at the on3p jeronimos, but i heard they weren't great for rails?? i dont know if thats true or not but yah. i also heard some good stuff about the k2 domain.

Jeronimo's are fine on rails. If anything, the rocker helps keep the tips of the skis from catching on switch ups and transfers.

Being that I'm production manager here, I'm totally unbiased in my opinion of the skis I help make.

We use a 1.8mm thick base and 2.5 x 2.5mm edges, excluding the edge teeth width. Its a thick edge and base combo, I have yet to see a thicker one on a pair of production skis. In my experience, thicker is better, and they do hold up well, but I'm not going to claim they're indestructible and that I've never seen an edge crack.

coming from someone who owns 2 pairs of on3p park skis, i can tell you first hand that the durability is top notch. I have a tendency and land on rails very hard and scissor with quite a bit of force. While I do have some noticeable edge wear, they are holding up far better then any other brand would be.

the aramda arv, line blend would be good if you want then to be good in trees, its kinda hard to find a good ski that is good at park but also well in pow

doesnt the blend like suck on rails though? i do a lot of rail and jib stuff which is why i was looking at the k2 domain.

get a park ski that has some rocker. you dont need a fat ski to ski pow...

in ontario you are skiing 95%+ icy ass park, so why even give a damn if it is made for pow? shredding pow on skinny sticks is still an absolute blast!

It takes super light snow to be waist deep with 130mm underfoot skis, true. Just dont be a backseat bandit.

What do you mean by saying you hear that the skis are bad on rails? Like they are to heavy or that they break?

alright, time to get real, check out the bluehouse MR!!! its 92 underfoot, so it will do anything, its light, its inexpensive. its very durable other then some topsheet chipping (nbd) and bluehouse has one of the best reputations for customer service!! they will let you return it within 30 days and it has a 2 year warentee!!

most likely maine (yah i know, ice coast), hopefully going to CVA. if i go there or not, i really wanna take full advantage of those powder days and i will be going on ski trips out west. thanks for the help everyone.

On top of whats been said already, look at the Nordica Zero, theyre a great al mountain ski.

i have 164 MR's from Bluehouse and they are really good for everything. Living near Tahoe i spend about half my time in the park and half in the powder. The 94 underfoot is really nice in the powder and they just ski through any crud on the runs like no problem. In the park they have quite a bit of camber which is good for jumps, super poppy. I dont really notice the camber on rails so dont worry about that. To top it all off they are only 315 bucks. Great ski, great company i would suggest Bluehouse MR's.
