"The Jump", "The lead up" help please

i finished my drop in! super stoked.

Now i need a lead up or jump to get on the rails and boxes. so my rails are all about 12 inches high. along with the box i have. i was wondering how you guys built you jump?! i was think of just getting some dirt and making one and putting turf over it. So let me know what your suggestions are. thank you everyone. +k for helpful responces.

u should basicly make 2 right-triangle frames and connect them togather with 2x4s and have them however wide u want it to be, then add plywood to the top and astro-turf to finish it off, i may be able to make u a sketch of it if u want

i guess, but it will get very messy! the last thing u want on ur astroturf is mud/dirt! it will slow it down like crazy!

Would one of those old plastic jumps that are 6" high that when you were little was the biggest fucking jump ever, that oyu would skate/bike/scooter over?

maybe. alot of those jumps have a huge curve that most skis are too big to flrex too..

you would want to use two of then side by side, but i really think wood is wayyy better, because u can make it custom to your rails, and those palstic jumps are expensive

they are quite pricey. probably much easier to secure the turf onto wood then plastic too!

Sorry I'm late to this discussion, but I am hoping you went with dirt. It's way easier, but get some heavy contractor trash bags and put them between the dirt and your sliding surface. That will keep the water from turning dirt to mud and getting your sliding surface muddy.

I would also make a plug for Msnow for jump. The reason is that everything else I have tried is really tough to spin off of. You can get a small amount of Msnow and just use that for your lip.
