Which Canon?

I have decided that I'm going to buy a Canon over the summer. I went to Future Shop where they carry Canon. I'm looking at T2i, T3i, or 60D. I am a beginner in this stuff. I want a camera that I won't have to replace when I get more skilled. I am going to be using the camera for video's mostly, but pictures as well. I also want to get a nice fish eye for the camera, not a filter.

T2i goes for $879 comes with a 18-55mm
T3i goes for $999 comes with a 18-55mm
60D goes for $1279 come with a 18-135mm

A few questions.
Which one if the best for filming?
Which one is best for taking photos?
Do you know any edits that were filmed with these camera's?

If I missed anything, let me know.

Buy a t2i without the kit and get a tamron 17-50mm 2.8

This, all are pretty similar when it comes to video, but T2i supports magic lantern. Then with the money saved just put some money into some good lenses

They only sell the T2i with the lens. The only camera they sell without the lens is the 7d. Money is kind of an issue since I don't make much so the lens need to be kinda cheap. $300 max. What are some good fisheye lens?

Don't fuck with magic lantern as a beginner, you don't need it right off the bat. Learn to use your camera first. Use google to find out what it does - it makes your T2i have some nice features for video, but also voids the warrenty.

The kit lens will work for you as a beginner, but you will grow out of it.

The tamron is a really good all-purpose lens, if you are willing to spend the extra cash I would get that over the kit lens, but again, as a beginner it doesn't matter.

The best fisheye for your money is the Opteka/ProOptic/Bower/Samayang fisheye for Canon. It produces a very nice image and it's less than 300. All those different brands have their own brand on the same lens, if you look at them they are all obviously the same.

i do alot of filming with only canon dslr cameras and i have a t2i and i have used a 60d for filming i would for sure go with the 60d due to the manual filming adjustments u will be missing out if u get the t2i or the t3i and the flip out screen is a bigpluss for filming on the 60d. also the top screen on the 6d is very useful for filming to see your settings. the 60d is forsure the way to go. i use a 7 (compareable to a 60d) and i love the features taht will be offered on the 60d. i will never go back to using the t2i over the 7d or 60d

60d with the sigma 10mm (IMO). i just bought the 7d with the sigma and tokina 11-16.

dude the T2i is exactly the same for video as the 7D or 60D. and in terms of manual features, it's BETTER than the 7D or 60D if you magic lantern it.

before you post next time, you should probably check your 'facts' on B&H. not trying to insult you here, i do that all the time just to make sure what i'm saying isn't as incorrect as what you said was.

This. when it comes to video specs, they're all the same. The only major differences are camera build (sturdiness) and photo-wise 7d>60d>T2i

60D has a better built body with a nicer weight IMO.  I've been doing camera tests and that was my biggest complaint.

i have both cameras, i use both avidly and the 7d is way better, you can adjust the sharpness, contrast, color, iso, and the meter is on top of the cameras, its much nicer for filming, im on bh looking at stuff all day, i know all my facts i do much research. there are many unlisted features about the 7d. many people say they are the same because they haven't used both cameras

Dude, You can adjust all of those things on a t2i, even if it's not hacked.

Adjusting your ISO?? I'm pretty sure any DSLR now a days will give you the abilty to adjust it.

A hacked T2i will give you way more settings for video than a 7d.

He's saying that the adjustments are on top of the camera with dials so its faster.. Not that the camera has those to adjust and others don't.

yeah i have been using it since 2 weeks after it came out i am almost 100 percent certain u cant adjust anything more than the white ballance, shutter speed and iso. u can do much more witht eh 7d with a much wider variety of iso

Get the t2i body by itself, and consider the Canon 50mm 1.8. You'll find that lens for $130 max, and it's awesome. Suuper sharp.

just fucking stop. you literally know nothing about the cameras you're shooting with. it's pretty appalling that somebody with such an unbelievably low level of knowledge about those cameras could be shooting with both of them

and a much wider variety of ISO? pretty sure people recommend using only native ISO's if you can, which means the T2i already contains all the ISO's you would want, even if you were shooting on a 7D. and if you ML your T2i, you get sooo many different ISO's. there are no unlisted features of a 7D that make it better for video. there is no difference. 7D is a more durable and professional body, that's it. T2i, once ML'ed, is more optimized in terms of customizable video features.

It also feels like a childs toy, spend the extra money and go with the Canon 50mm 1.4 (It's like 300-380ish new), metal mount opposed to plastic on the 1.8, wider aperture (you'll find out what this is when you start using your camera OP)which you'll want, and overall better bokeh (you'll also learn that with camera).
