Premiere and after effect cs5 or Sony vegas pro 10 +k
Alright, so I know someone who can hook me up with some editing software and these are the two programs he could get me. Im using a toshiba l655 i5. I'd like to know the ease of use of the two, the features they have, and which one you guys think is better.
Really any info that you have on these would be awesome. +k to responses,
Personally, I love Vegas 10. It really can do everything I need and I highly reccommend it. It comes stocked with loads or preset effects and actions and has such a nice layout for the editor. I've heard FC is where it's at these days, but i've also heard that a ton of people use Vegas and have a lot of the same capabilities as in FC. As for Premier and After Effects I only have minor experience with Premier and have just kinda messed around in it, but it seemed alright. And if you're looking to get into motion graphics, etc. then I would recommend looking at After Effects, otherwise just stick to your basic editing program. This is just my personal advice and input but hopefully it helps.
Do you have any expierence with editing software besides iMovie or Windows Moviemaker? If not, look for something simpler. And my friend Jabronis*Mom has a way to get the whole Adobe suite, so shoot him a PM. That's Aftereffects, Premiere, and a bunch of others. BUT if you have no experience, don't go straight to that, you will be confused and lost.
yeah i don't have any experience but I'm not expecting to be able to get straight into it. I know there's going to be a learning curve and i don't mind that. The way way I'm looking at is that i might as well learn it now so i don't have to later aha
i really enjoy sony vegas 10. it is simple enought to learn but advanced enough to do some more personalised effects. There is a bunch of potential to customize the layout of the program to suit your needs. It is commun enough that if you are having trouble with something, you can easily find a tutorial or ask help from someone. One thing that i really like about it too is the amount of choices you have for exporting. You can bassically export into any video format there is and for each format. The option of exporting through your GPU is nice too which speeds up the exporting time.
Although i am biased towards vegas, i have found no unfixable problems with it yet.
Premiere is more of an industry standard than vegas. For some aspects it provides more power to the user. Vegas is quick, clean, and easy to learn. I recommend starting on Vegas.
After effects should only be used for processing single clips, and titling.
