Don't sweat the AP tests too much. Most schools only take scores for elective credits anyways. I'm not saying don't try, by all means do your best. However, its not make or break in the grand scheme of things.

To add on to my previous post, here's some tips for those of you applying to college next year...Think about how you can really "sell" yourself to your top choice. Applications are so much more than numbers these days, especially when there are relatively large amounts of kids with a 4.0's or at least highish GPA's applying. I go to USC and out of high school I had a 3.4 cumulative GPA and 1900 on the SAT which is considered low for here. Although, I am an excellent writer and a fairly good artist. So what did I do? I applied to the architecture school, submitted a bomb portfolio, and really emphasized what I could personally bring to the university on the essays. People were floored when they found out I got in. I ended up changing majors almost immediately, but the point is never rule anything out just because of numbers and conversely never assume you'll get in somewhere just because you look great on paper.

AP tests are some buuuullllshit. Especially when kids in other countries who take IB / AP are practically given 5.0s.

I know atleast 15 IB /AP kids in college who are borderline retarded and got 5.0s given to them for nothing

The whole system is fucking stupid

the double post was most necessary for AP Bio, fuck that shitta cunna of a test and class. But generally fuck AP classes, didn't do shit for me in college, but then again I didn't really give a rats ass on how I did. it was just a reason to get out of high school a month early my jr and sr year yaaa

fwiw you don't need to study for either english AP, i didn't even look at a prep book and took a normal english class and i got a 4 on lit and a 5 on lang

apush on the other hand...you need to study that shit. i did a lot of work on the multiple choice and got a 4

really really specific

dates, people, events, lots and lots of laws, acts, and treaties, and a couple super random ass questions that nobody gets right

just remember to cite as many sources as possible in the dbq and have a really clear thesis sentence in the introduction. scorers mostly just read the thesis and see how many sources you cited and grade based off that

take a look at physics c, it's so badass you get two tests, one for mechanics, and one electricity and magnetism.

also calc bc was pretty hard. fuckin series raped me.

but for people worrying about chem, don't it's not that hard. I didn't study for it, pulled a 73% in the class all year, and got a 4 on the test.
