GoPRO black top/bottom lines???

Hello newschoolers.

Right now im doing a edit in FCP and all goes fine with the timelapse with gopro hd pics together. Now i got a problem, then i put the gopro footage into FCP (converted to .mov) i got 2 black lines in the top and in the bottom? I want fullscreen like my timelapse, whats wrong? How can i get rid of those blacks lines?

I use gopro hd helmet hero, 720p/60 frames. Then i converted it from mpeg4 to .mov it still fullscreen, but then i put it into FCP it's fuck up.

I edited many things before and it never happened before, hmm.. need some help.

its probably your sequence settings in fcp. open a new sequence and drop a gopro shot into the timeline and it should ask you if you want to change your sequence settings to match your clip.

i just looked at some of my gopro pictures, and I believe they are a different aspect ratio than the footage. If you don't want the black lines, try using another program to do the timelapse and export it at 16:9. I use i stop motion and I never have problems. you could also try what eheath said and drag your movie files in first, and then maybe it would crop the pictures when you put them in. but the reason those black bars are there is because you are working with multiple aspect ratios
