When i'm driving I always find instances that piss me off. I have decided to make a list, a massive collection of things that piss me of when i'm on the road. Why you ask? Because I can. So i'll start it off and everyone can add whatever they feel also pisses them off as well. Just when you do, number it, so we can tally how many things other drives do that makes us mad/irritated.




1. Driving on the highway in cruise control, about to pass to cars in the left lane, asshole behind the front car pulls into fast lane causing you to get on the brakes and leave cruise control. Then proceeds to pass at 3 mph faster then the car in the slow lane. Couldn't you have just waited for me to pass you, no of course not, asshole.

2. Soccer moms.

people double parked on a 2 lane street
People who float into your lane going half your speed
People who dont accelerat over 50 when getting on a highway

I can keep going. Living in NYC there are is no shortage of asshole drivers. You learn to let as much go as possible otherwise your head will explode.

Turning without a blinker pisses me off so much. There's absolutely NO effort required to put your blinker on. I take shit from people for using my blinker when no one's around, but it's just so natural for me.

Lots of things...

but my top one: TURN ON YOUR FUCKING LIGHTS - day or night, rain or shine, turn those fucking things on. It is a good habit, so when it is gray, rainy, and dusk that gray car you're driving won't blend in with the road.

people who try to act macho while driving. a guy cut me off once turning out of a gas station and i slammed the brakes and mouthed "what the fuck" just as a reaction and he saw me, stopped in the middle of his turn, and stared me down acting menacing and tough

so in response i winked at him and lifted up my shirt and showed him one of my nipples. he drove away quickly

i did that last night

it was the scariest ride of my life. i was incredibly high and driving in the dark in pouring rain. what saved me were the reflectors on the center lines so i could see where the road was

people who cut you off when your driving down the road pulling out into your lane or road...and then they proceed to drive like 15 below the speed limit and get mad at you....

like you just cut me off atelast speed up thats why you drive a car that accelerates fast fucken idiots

i had to fight hard to stay alert, especially when i was driving over a bridge under construction and there were concrete barriers on either side of my car and it felt like they were shrinking in around me. that part sucked

if my friend wasn't in the car with me i don't think i would've made it

1. people standing at the corner of a crosswalk, looking you dead in the eye, so you stop for them, and they just stand there, never intending to cross the street.

2. when mexicans slam on the brakes whenever they see a cop, regardless of whether they are speeding or not. rapidly going from 60 to 35 when you see a cop is just a little more suspicious than going 63 in a 60.

3. Dudes flamboyantly singing and dancing in their car, alone, with the windows up.

4. women drivers.

Every Weekend in the day time the speed limit seems to change to 20 km/h. Guess thats what I get for living in a retirement town, oh and they never check mirrors or shit, have almost been fucked over so many times.

My list:

1. Turn your lights on. Day and Night, they should be on. They help other drivers gauge your speed, distance, etc.

2. Stay out of the Left lane unless you are actively passing someone.

3. Stay off my ass. I understand you want to drive at mach 6, I will make way for you when I can.

4. Don't be scared to pass. The ability to safely pass a slower driver is an important skill. Unfortunately many city drivers never learn this one. It pains me when I end up in a conga line because there are two drivers unwilling to pass the person going a few mph under posted.

5. Be willing to get out of the way, especially if you are driving under the posted speed limit. Even if you are driving at the posted speed limit, or just over, be willing to pull over to the side for some one who is driving faster, it will only cost you a couple of seconds.

6. Slow down, you will get there. Understand that traffic does not exist to piss you off, remain calm. Life will continue.

7. Drive with intent, others have places to be, people to see. If you are not exactly sure where you are, get off the road until you figure it out, don't drive along at 5mph until you find what you are looking for.

8. Be patient.
9. Be safe.

bikers.

apparently the nice country roads around where i liver are a huge area for people from more urban areas to drive down and park their subaru forester in a pull-off, offload their bike, and go for a nice relaxing ride. which im totally okay with, i mean riding bikes is totally fun right? what im not okay with is when you ride in the center of the road or on the wrong side of the road. or when you ride with your headphones in and swerve all over the road because you are too fucking stupid to be aware of your surroundings and that there are other people.
cars are way fucking heavier than bicycles. people should totally stop that shit.


also, riding your brakes going down hills so you dont break the speed limit. gas is $4.00 a gallon, what the fuck is wrong with you? you are wasting energy and burning away your pads.


and i hate it when people get all pissed and road ragey because i fucking passed them. i am going faster than you, so i drove around you, chill the fuck out. its not like i threw garbage at you or jammed my dick against the window, i just drove by.

people who dont use directional signals

people who go 10 mph under the speed limit

fuckin tailgaters! but i love screwing with them. Put on a turn signal but dont turn, slow down alot, and i throw on my rear window washer because its broken and squirts straight out. No better way to get a tail gater off your ass then some washer fluid on their brand new mercedes.

people who shift through multiple lanes at once to get to an exit. Usually there are signs at least a mile before the exit. if that means you slow down from 80 to 70 so be it, you only save 6.43 seconds dumbass.

busses on 4 lane roads. they insist on driving in the middle of two lanes
post office vehicles, i never know when they're going to start moving again

I have terrible road rage, caused moainly by:

People who, when turning off a road, indicate, and begin braking 100m before there turn, so you're basically stopped by the time they finally get out of the way.

People who don't indicate

People who don't thank you if you let them pass

People who do generally stupid things

When there is one lane closed up ahead and everyone is in the correct lane all lined up, but there is always a line of cars, usually riced to the max, who try to get out of waiting in line and they all try to get farther up by going in the lane thats closed further up or on the shoulder. Its funny when the trucker guys get pissed off because they pull their nose out right when they are about to pass and they get forced onto the grass.

I FUCKING HATE WHEN PEOPLE BRAKE GOING DOWN HILL. unless it's a super steep windy road I fail to see why going 10 over the speed limit is going to hurt.
also when you're in a packed parking lot and the person pulling out of the only spot you're waiting for TAKES A FUCKING HOUR TO GET OUT OF THE SPOT.
another thing that really annoys me is when I'm driving to the coast and I get stuck behind fucking rednecks with their jacked-up trucks towing their huge trailers doing 80 in the straights (this is nice), but 35 in turns, super annoying.
