im plannin to get armada AR5's and i just wanna know how much better next years are gonna be, or should i just save my money and by the 03-04 ones?

I promoted my CVS and Stop and Shop card from the inside slits to the outside ones...my Blockbuster and gym ID got pissed off, but I told them, sorry guys, laminated plastics just can't cut it in the big leagues

Different construction, slant SW and Vertical SW, instead of just slant. Burlier topsheet, and a new graffic to topp it all off... not bad for a 2nd year company...

I was in the same positiion you were. But I decided to save my money and wait for this year's ARVs. Apparently they're constructed better and have been tweaked for the better in some other areas. Practicaly indestructible. I loved last year's graphic. But this year's grew on me and I love it too.

last years ARVs had some real issues with the whole concept of staying together....and, if something did happen, armada had a great warranty system, but they just couldnt produce enough skis to replace those that broke...

Tweaks are a park ski...But anywauys, I like the graphics on the 04/05 ski better. It doesn't matter because I already have skis, but if I was going to grab some Armada AR5's, I'd go with the tuned up, improved model, being this years.

how long are the t halls supposed to be? cuz i kind of want in between a 170 and a 176 cuz im like 6 feet tall and i used to ski on like 165's

Charles was selling a pir of 04-05s at high north, they feel about the same weight, i have a pair of unmounted 03-04 176 AR5s if anyone is interested in buying them.

I started out on burgundy, but soon hit the harder stuff
Everybody said they'd stand behind me, when the game got rough

i bought a brand new pair from freds freeride at killington for $200, but I dunno man not much over $300, I would pay you $200 though for another pair but I highly doubt you'd wanna do that

i'll get my new ar5s for 475 $.
a guy told me, that there is more carbon behind the bindings, what gives you more stability at getting faster on groomed and on monster kickers. I dunno if the old ones got that.

Forgot to add, there is a C fiber stringer in all the skis for 05 i THINK, like the stringer in this years ARVs.

the weight of this years skis are about the same as last year (the AR5s might be a little lighter, not totally sure). i can say that the ARVs are burly - the variable sidewall is nice, rounded topsheet edges so there'll be extremely minimal chipping, and i think the edges might be a bit thicker - pretty bombproof (everything but the edges also applies to the AR5s). they're kind of close to the AR7s - that is if the AR7 had the sidewalls and rounded topsheet edges.

they were the prototypes for the ARVs - they're substantinally heavier than the production ski, but they made up for it in durability (they're still being used after 2+ years)
