Does that cop paint a really bad picture for canadian cops? yes.

In my personal experiences with cops, have they been positive? yes.

Lets face it, theres bad cops everywhere, but Canada deosn't have worse cops than anyone else, this guy clearly was a little on edge, and maybe because he was scared for what could have happen, i don't know what he felt, But i think OP just tried to make a stupid bash thread against us canadians...

People who defend cops in situations like this are cunts. Sure, the girl could have avoided any trouble if she just stopped, but thats not the point... the cop should not arrest someone for doing that regardless of how many times he warns them to stop.

if someone was invading your personal space and you asked them to stop and they didnt stop you wouldnt consider that rude?

add them being a smartass to that situation and you would be pissed^

It is amazing the standard we try and hold our peace officers to. This is not directed to one particular person, but those who are saying he was power tripping.

Imagine you went to go in to work one day, and you were told you needed to go watch and make sure people did not mess with the business. While you were doing that, some fuck head decides to come up and just try and piss you off, antagonizing you and your coworkers. Would you really not do anything about it?

Personally, if the person continued their actions, after being asked to stop, I would use force to stop them. I think most of us would do the same. I do not mean punching them in the face, but using force to remove them from the environment or take away the bubbles in this case. if the officer was to do this the public would be screaming police abuse. The police officers seem to be acting very reasonably in this scenario.

Given the context of the situation (they arrested people for essentially no reason that day), I do think the police went too far. To be fair I havent seen the longer video, so I don't actually know if she blew bubbles again. However, it sounds like she would have been arrested regardless in which case yes, I think he was on a power trip.

Also, Officer Bubbles is suing Youtube and trying to get them to give up the names of people who commented on these videos. Apparently, Youtube emailed the commenters asking if they'd share their names with Officer Bubbles - and shockingly, no one has. Lulz.

I bet if she stopped, apologized for being a bitch to them, and then stood there peacefully, she would have not been arrested. I am willing to bet her focus that day was to antagonize police, so yes she was probably going to get arrested.

The thing is, that no one respects the cops anymore... I mean obviously some of them are douchebags but most of the time they're just doing their job. What did she expect when she blew fucking bubbles in his face. It can't get more provocative then that.
Also notice the "moments later" cut in the video. We don't know what happened there but I'll bet 1000$ that she provoced them some more.
