Thanks for explaining- I've apparently been out of it too long. Just confused though, how is it 'cool' that harlaut 'sausages' that shit outta his skinny round tails until newschoolers watches the snow spray over their faces and blow up in excitement?

i think it could also be uncrossed blunt, but i feel like if you're grabbing outside edge, you wouldn't be crossing them anyway

nah, you have to tweak it towards your back for a legit sausage.
also, it's actually only called a tail grab if you grab the outside of your ski, if you grab inside it's called toxic. but everyone just call inside-ski grabs for tail grabs these days. and also a blunt is tip av the tail.
anyone trying to argue about that has not been skiing long enough.

i learned my grab names from og freeskier Ben Grunow (see strike 3 or second gen.) i think he has been skiing long enough. I always thought that the tweak was implied. ALSO true blunt IS crossed. not that you said anything about it not being crossed, I'm just adding it in while we're on the topic.

well, henrik harlaut said in a thread a few years back that he named the grab. and he also had a very good description of how to do it (which is tweaked towards your back).
from my understanding of what he said in that thread, the grab is relatively new. when i said that people who say differently have not been skiing long enough, i was mainly referring to how to do a tail/toxic grab, since sausage is a "new" grab.

i'll try to find the hh-thread, but the searchbar sucks dick.

henrik has the best ones as far as i know, but i definitely remember evan raps or philou or somebody doing a great sausage 7 in the game or some movie from around that time. no idea when i heard the term sausage first though
