Just a quick question, are these fks 14s this year's or last year's? http://www.acmeclimbing.com/rossignolfks140bindings.aspx And also if they are last year's are there any differences or are they basically the same. Thanks and +k for all.
These are the 2010/2011 fks. There is no difference between the 2011 model and the 2012, only the colorway: the newer 140s are orange just like the current 180s
Okay sounds great, thanks man. Also just another quick question. I'm mounting them at -2.5 on my ar7s. And in that area the width is about 75mm, would the 95mm brakes still work fine?
If I'm not mistaken I think these are 09-10's? Because they're 95mm and the 10-11s are 90mm, it's either that or this online store messed the numbers up.
The waist on AR7s is between 83 and 87 (depending on the size of the ski), I'm guessing you measured the waist were you want them mounted, but keep in mind that's where the middle of your boots (midsole) is going to be, not where the brakes are going to be. 90mm is perfect for AR7s at any mounting position.
ehh it doesn't matter, they're all the same binding. But you'd probably want to bend them in.... wait up, ar7s are wider than 75... did you mean 85? If they're 85 I'd probably keep them the same, it wont affect performance, they just might not stay together too well when your carrying them. I have anthems (93) mounted up with 100mm px12s and they're fine. However, if you do somehow magically have 75mm ar7s, then I'd bend them in for sure. Look up the fks brake bending thread on tgr. Detailed picture explanation of how to do this.
My bad guys, flash you're right it's 85. I measured it wrong with my ghetto, half-broken 6 inch ruler. I think I'm good to go and let's just hope they're not sold out.
Yeah, I'm defiantly thankful and stoked on this setup, my backup plan is if these sell out then I'll lurk backcountry all august/september for restocks.
That's a bit late for that but I'm a bit skeptical since after I ordered last night they answered my question saying it was this year's fks.. And on top of that they messed up the brake length on the site but I'll put pics on when they come to get some confirmation.
