Canon T2i rendering help!

Hey guys, I just bought a t2i. It is my first Dslr and absolutely love it! I am hoping that someone could tell me what the best rendering settings I could possibly use in Sony Vegas pro 9. I really want to get this cameras full potential when I edit. I search barred and found some
Useful rendering tips, just nothing specifically on the t2i.

not sure if its the same on Vegas, but Premeire pro has a menu
DSLR>CANON>FPS 29.97 fps@1080p.  hope that helps, probably didnt

convert it to prores 422 lt using mpeg streamclip

Thanks man! i didn't realize you could get it for windows. im assuming i render it normally in vegas and then convert it in mpeg streamclip after its done?

in mpeg streamclip i use convert to mpeg and quality 100%

then in vegas i use Sony AVC.

i think it works the best for quality and keeps a nice small file size.

heres a video with those settings.

Anybody know how to get a render free workflow going? I have converted to Prores, but for some reason am still having to render.

I wanna be able to cut all my clips together render-free and then do all my touch ups after such as colour correcting/grading), and then render the whole thing.

only thing i can think of is make sure your timeline settings match the settings on your clips.

1. Use MPEGstreamclip to convert to editing codec (DNxHD or whatever Vegas uses).
- Quality: 100%
- Uncheck the "interlaced" box

2. Set timeline settings in Vegas to match the clip settings, which should be:
1920x1080
Square Pixel
23.98 fps
DNxHD (or whatever codec you used).
