I cant vouch for Smith, but Oakley's are sooo legit. I hardly ever get fogging.

I have a pair of both, and both of their lenses have been fucked up permanently, Oakley's Radnastier in my opinion though

i cant speak for oakley but i have smith I/Os and i love them really clear never clear up the the lenses they come with are bad in white out conditions

after using splices i switched to i/os and never looked back. I love my i/o's they are sooo nice never fog best lenses (really easy to change them out too) and such a big view range,

I first owned some C bars. They fogged up way too much and weren't super comfortable on my face. Then I bought some I/O's and they are great. Don't fog up. And the provide an extremely comfortable, low-profile wear on my face.

good question....oakley is better all around like hoodies and jackets and goggles....but smith i/os are so nice probably better than any of the oakleys so oakley i wud say

Neither...Ra Optics. I don't know why more people don't know about them, they're by far the best goggles I've owned and I left Oakleys for them. They're super clear, I seriously feel like I'm seeing in HD with them and they barely have an annoying lens color that your eyes have to get used to. They're dark in the day, bright at night (I've gone from day skiing to night skiing the same day without changing anything on my goggles, but still having perfect clarity). Also, they seriously almost never fog up and the anti fog never wears off. I forgot how all the shit works, but you should really read up on them, although they're a little pricey.

i/os ftw! yet to have them fog them up even when i plow on them to help clean it unfogs itself insistently not to mention they come with two lenses which take literally 5 seconds to change

Got some I/Os, didn't really like them compared to my Splices. Lens switching time isn't really that much longer, no fogging, better lenses in my opinion, and I like the fit better.

i cant really say anything bad about oakley, but i used to have smith's and they fit my face way to big. then i got scott fixes and they fit much better, bet they fog up pretty bad sometimes.

Oakley for sure. Built to way higher standards, capable of taking ball bearings to the lens at a few hundred feet per second, and they mold their lenses with specifically shaded glass other company's use a uniformed lens with varying films or coatings on the outside. Just a better product in my opinion, I've owned both and I prefer Oakley. But at the end of the day which ever goggle fits you the best is going to be the way to go.

i wear smith phenoms and smith chemists. i think, while oakley is legit, they were a wee bit overplayed. their name is a bit bigger than it should be, and their prices reflect this. that being said, i have no problem dropping money on a sick looking pair of lenses. i went for the chemists cuz they're simple, but look dope.

oakley is better! lens quality is perfect, fit is nice but the best of all is the crowbar cult and the crowbar bst forum really nice to customize and get advise on lens and stuff

Been using Smith forever, mostly because I love the Sensor mirror lens. Nothing else comes close to a perfect PNW goggle.

i prefer oakley, 2 seasons on my cbars now and i have to look hard to find the one infentesimaly small scratch. three layer foam is sooo comfy, andoutriggers make for comfort either with helmet or toque. my buddy got a pair of feenoms about the same time and the lens is scratched to shit, the foam is packed out and the strap is all wrinkily. just my humble opinion, but i from my experience oakley definatley lives up to the hype.

I have a pair of I/Os and a pair of Splices. All in all, I really like them both. That said, I think the I/O's feel much better on my face. On the other hand, the Oakley lense (Pink Iridium) beats the shit out of both Smith lenses combined.

I heard somewhere that oakleys have the least distortion of of any goggle. They shine a light through the front of the lens then have a sensor behind it and they can tell any distortions that would happen in the corners of the lens etc. However, thats from a purely optical standpoint. You should go try on some goggles at a shop and see which ones fit your face better and have a tint you like better. I/Os do come with an extra lens, and are much easier to change lenses. However, when I went to the shop, crowbars just fit me perfectly. They felt better on my nose even than splices. But thats just my face shape. cheers.

ps. Splices and crowbars are made for bigger faces than i/os, so if you have a super big head you might want to look into oakleys. and splices have a wider field of vision than crowbars. but its all preferance.

i had a pair of the I/Os and they were good for a couple weeks then started fogging up, so i switched to the Oakley crowbars and i like the fit better and i haven't had any fogging issues with the crowbars. they work better for me so im gonna have to go Oakley.

Smith I/o s r the sickest goggles created. It takes me like 15 seconds to change a lense but you never have to worry about them popping out or fogging

I've been using Oakley's & love'em. However, I do need a new pair of goggles for next year and will probably get the Smith I/O's.  They have changeable lenses, but the main reason is how much Smith helps out the with shop deals for employees. They've always treated us really well.
