NS i need your financial advice

Hey NS, so i really want to buy my own car. A wrx has been a reasonable dream of mine for a while, and i recently stumbled upon one that is well within my price range. I have a steady job, and in the summer i work two jobs. I am also a junior in high school, so i dont really need one (i have use of a third family car, but we will probably need a fourth assuming my sister comes home for the summer because we each work) but god damn i want one. is it a bad idea to pretty much clear out my bank account to put down a good down payment and get it road legal? i could easily make the monthly payments, i just would spend all my money ive earned

if you can afford it, it is in good condition and you really want it, then go for it. make sure you are careful with it and also talk to your parents, see what they want you to do

what's your parents' policy towards college tuition and spending money? if you won't need the money later on and it's a dream of yours then go for it

If you can manage using the family car then you should be doing this option. Cars are money pits! Make due and figure shit out with your sister for the summer and just drive the 3rd car while she's gone. Save your money and when you can actually afford to spend money on a car, then do it. Mooching of parents is usually the best option financially, so I suggest to do this if it is not too much trouble

Yea, you probably don't want to hear this answer, but don't do it. Seeing as how you probably don't make a ton of money- it really won't be worth it. Plus, have you figured in the expenses of getting it fixed, or if it happens to break down? How about the high price of gas? Honestly, if you really need a car, get something cheap that still runs. It won't be as pimp, but you don't need pimp when you're in high school

Gas=Expensive Car=Expensive  Bike=Cheap, a great workout (skinny)  and no gas, unless you live a ways from where you need to go.

i would buy a cheaper, less expensive to insure, non beat on car or suv that you like and use that for a bit. After you have driven it for a couple months, if you stil want the wrx, which i think is a pointless car, go for it,
