So i had soccer practice yesterday, first practice coming from a consussion, and when i got home i realized a pain in a tendon in the back of my left knee. It in the back of the knee, kinda on the left side. not on the side of the knee. Today its swollen and bruised. Anyone know what might be messed up? my mcl? pcl? i have no clue really right now
By all means do not help yourself by going to see a nurse or someone in a free clinic, and please, remember to stretch in quick thrusting motions while twisting your spine.
this is what really helped me when i had something really really similar. the tendon, connects to the hamstring i think, was really sore, and that area turned a lil bit purple. I could hardly walk on it, but i took a bunch of advil, and RICE'd the hell out of it.
But by far and away the thing that helped the most, was really simple. It literally put me on the road back to helath, and really helped with injury prevention later on down the road. It actually in volved two things: a phone, and the docter's number. when i combined those two things i saw tremendous results.
I thank god havent had any SERIOUS knee injuries but a bunch on my friends have. The rule I normally go on with injuries is that if you actually have a concern about it, stay off it(as in your case, but you get the idea) and ice it, then see the doc ASAP. If it hurts to walk on it by tomorrow I would highly suggest not to go on the field trip unless you grab some crutches because you are just putting your knee at more of a risk.
Your guess to what is goin on in there is gonna be just as good if not better than anyone on here can tell you. It can be anything from a bruise to a tear, you dont know until you get it checked out. Just do yourself and knee a major favor and stay off it and ice it as much as you can.
