i know this is a little out of the question but you should think of getting mac. if you like editing at all a mac can really help you excell at it.

There is absolutely no reason why anyone, especially an absolute beginner, should need a different computer to learn how to edit.

To the OP, I would recommend playing with a simple program like Movie Maker with some of your first shots as you search around for a program that suits your needs. Something like Adobe Premier or Vegas will be overwhelming if you've never made a movie before, so it's good to play around first.

you dont need a mac to edit.

having final cut is cool, but sony vegas does the job perfectly.

you dont need to invest 1.5k $ to use a 300$ camera....

ive made edits before. ive used final cut pro. its just never been with my own camera or computer.

Windows Movie Maker is unbearable.

Sony Vegas is good, as is any Adobe made software. Both of those are high ticket software, and if you google "how to torrent", you will find some guides.

Adobe premiere elements is a good beginner software, download the trial on their website and google for a keygen
