Wondering if anyone has skiied the Ghost Chant and or Night Train and Could compare them to JJs. They are more symetrically shaped than the JJs so i was wondering which ones are better in powder. My guess is that the JJs are higher quality though.

Why would you guess the JJ's are higher quality? Just because Armada makes them? Moment makes incredibly nice skis (inb4 kangbang agrees with me).
The Ghost Chants are a powder only ski. The Night Train's are a mostly powder ski that'll manage the groomers inbetween powder runs and will blast through choppy snow. I've heard they're surprisingly managable on the hardpack though. I got to feel up the Chants at SIA and i seem to remember them being pretty soft. I think they're a mostly carbon fiber ski. Night trains are a medium-stiff flex erring more on the medium side. JJ's will probably be noodles compared to the trains but stiff compared to the chants. JJ's would probably be better on hardpack than either one but the Trains would kick ass all around.
Personally, if you got such a hard on for the JJ's you gotta realize that it's really hard to get ahold of them and jump on that shit. Otherwise, i'd go for the Night Trains or the Bibby Pros.

i skied all these over a few days. i personally thought the moments were a much livelier, funner ski than the jjs. as for deciding between the night train and ghost chants, what kind of ski are you looking for? you going to be skiing a lot of untracked pow and skiing switch in the pow? if so get the ghosts. however i personally would go with the night trains owing to the fact that they skied chop much better and had a longer running length

how do you like to ski? fast and hard charging? slow and jibby? turny? straight liney?
i for one didnt like the jj that much. from what i've seen armada's quality isn't as high as moment's.

I agree.
Ghost Chants have massive amounts of rocker and only for 2 feet or more of pow. I'm assuming they will suck ass at anything other than that.

then why don't you just demo a ski when you're out there instead of buying a whole new setup for a couple days of skiing?

not true. they ski very well in less snow that. i had an awesome day in about seven inches on them. its just when you are in any variable conditions performance suffers

so every day minus the epic ones?
Reviews on the Night Trains indicate that they are a solid ski.

I have JJs and love them but the Night Trains are super sick as well and they are both very high quality. JJs have camber underfoot, which makes them perform better in chopped up shit and on groomers I'm pretty sure. Honestly, though you'll be happy with either, I would not recommend the Ghost Chant unless you know you will be skiing in plentiful powder everyday and really, really love riding switch. Though, I'm sure you can deal with Ghost Chants in non-ideal conditions you'll be much happier with the JJ or Night Train.

which school? you made it sound like you were just goin on a trip.
get the night trains or even the bibby pros man. they'd be better for CO skiing. CO rarely gets deep enough snow to justify getting the ghost chants and the JJ's are hard to find and are more expensive than Moment's skis.

This, and deff get Moments if JJs are more expensive..
I cant believe you said Armadas quality is better than Moments, Armada shure is in the top of the industie standard but Moments are way better quality, check them out before you make a decission!!

Bibby Pro's before JJ's, they'll just keep up to you better. They are a bang-on perfect ski IMO

Let's slow down on the Moment>Amada and JJ bashing. Both the JJ and the Night Train are great skis, they are just different. The JJ is lighter, a bit more lively. This is can be a good thing, and it can also be a nuisance. In tighter terrain it is easier to move around, and if you find yourself doing a lot of traversing or even touring the lighter weight pays off. The light weight also makes the ski unpredictable in choppy snow, you need to stay centered and can not drive the tips as much.
The JJ is a great ski, so is the Night Train, but if you wanted an amazing ski you would get the 191 BIlly Goat.

There is a lot of, not necessarily trolling, but bias in this thread.
