if you don't mind biking/ busing to school, live in will ville, you can get like apartment style dorms, and they are so big, the R.A.'s don't care about shit much. We dorm-partied a bunch there when I was a freshman. Otherwise, Hallet is pretty nice... and Baker is fun usually. I think they are opening new ones next year, so I would look into that as well.

yupp, i applied for suites and 4 or 5 person rooms in the new building in willville. my buddy who goes there said he smokes spliffs in the back room of his 4 person apartment.

willville is kind of a pain in the ass. its a mile and a half off campus and its where all the retards get put. i would recommend cheyenne arapahoe. its where 90% of the hot girls lived my freshman year plus its right on campus...i lived in the engineering quad and i would recommend avoiding it if possible

This. Although it is nice if you are an engineer that parties too much, there is always someone to get help from when you sleep through all your lectures after staying up till 6am on a thursday... God damn freshman year...

i am going in as an engineering freshman, looking for somewhere where i can get work done but also meet a bunch of cool homies and have a lot of fun. recommendations?

I never went to CU and I'll elaborate for you. An engineering dorm? You're looking to find the most nerdy, least fun having group of people you'll ever meet, ever. EVER. There are a few token engineers that party incredibly hard, but they don't live in engineering dorms. You're better off not living in that dorm if they allow you to, do they allow engineers to not live in the engineering dorms? If so, don't live there.

good to know. i just figured that since there were like 5 different dorms specifically for engineering and applied sciences, that would cover enough people that they wouldn't all be nerds. like i definitely still do want to have the typical college dorm experience, so i guess ill try to steer clear of the engineering dorms, unless someone has other positive experiences to contribute

I lived in one, it wasn't awful. Like I said, above. Tons of homework help, which was very good for me. I had one other engineering friend in the dorm, but we mostly hung out with the non engineering girls that thankfully got put there (btw at CU 2/3 floors of the engineering dorms are co-ed, so thats something to think about.)

Also, there were actually people to pose a challenge to me in super smash brothers on N64, so that was a plus for sure too.

hahahah dont get too stoked on your will villain apartment room once you get fuzzed on once the ra's wil make excuses to come back and bust your ass. if i learned anything from the dorms last year is that i hate them i hate everything about them honestly the bestplace if you blaze your room is the basement in hallett. no joke the smell of weed is rampant and they cant pick out which room it comes from. and its on main campus. i hate the dorms and i get pissed off when i think about how much you have to pay for them when you get busted all the time. everyone of you will have a negative ra experience by the end of first semester with that being said im excited to see all of your young faces next year if any of you all are interested in fraternities PM me and ill give you some advice on them. meet kids with cars also i had one last year and it was awesome if you dont have one make a deal with a friend who has one that youll blaze them up for rides i spent more money on gas than weed and yet i smoked about an ounce a week. tell kids who need rides like yeah ill take you to target just smoke me up its awesome people will love driving with you for free and youll love being smoked up. and youll soon find that the best place to blaze isnt in your dorm but rather your homies jeep up in the flagstaff lot on chitaqua

my sister roomed there. the dorm itself is not the most modern/best.. but its real fun and the people are cool. you talk to any of your roommates yet?
