I'm going to purchase either a canon 550d or a 60d and would like to get a steady cam mount to go with it to produce some really smooth, steady shots. I already have a variety of cameras including a gopro but I'm in the mood to upgrade.
So can people please suggest some steadycams/ glide cams that work well for them- especially ones which will work well over kickers and for following at speed. For your information my budget is quite small; ie around $250.
I have a home made one which produces really smooth shots at slow speed (i.e rails and small jibs) which looks like this http://www.yb2normal.com/DIYsteadicam.html, but it's really difficult to use at high speeds - for example follow cam-ing over knuckles etc... so i feel i need to upgrade
so... NS Media guys/girls what do you suggest??
links and examples of their use in edits will be much appreciated :)
(p.s search bar was used - there were very few useful results)
