So what DO you do when your parks closed?

Its more or less the end of the season here in La Plagne (France), and the snow park closed today, what do you do if your here for another 2 weeks?

What about you guys, hows your snow/park situation?

The park is closed smart guy. Doesn't get much better than working on the goggle tan and railing groomers on a sunny spring day.

Ski the steeper runs switch. There's a lot of stuff you can do outside of the terrain park. The kids I ski with will not leave the park and it pisses me off so much. A few of them ski powder with me, but some just chill in the park.

have a BBQ on the mountain.

1. set up a little camp with snow seats, music, log benches etc...

2. grill up some grillables

3. ski while someone cooks (take turns cooking of course)

4. hang out and have a good time

To the people saying "go ski powder dude!" you obviously have no idea what a awful situation the european resorts are in right now - they have had a pretty bad season this year - I've just got back from les arcs (just across the valley from la plange) and the snow is so bad in many places - 20C + and huge mud patches and rocks in the middle of the pistes.... powder isn't going to happen I think any time soon!

i'm leaving this weekend for a week in italy (southern alps were by far the worst this winter)
i think i'm gonna bring some shorts, a tshirt and my snowblades and a snorkel cause the snow looks so horrible ....

also slushy cliffs /bc kickers seem fun, definately gonna try and make a gaper edit if i can convince my friends :)

possibly combo it with GNAR (gnar never becomes "played out" !)

i think this is gonna be a fun week anyways :)
