Here's a little circumstance

Lets say it's 1am, and you here a crash. You grab your gun, go downstairs and find an intruder. He threatens you with a knife.


Is it OK to shoot him?

from what I understand, it's still illegal and you can still be charged.

Opinions?

it's fucked up but if you do shoot them, kill them. Otherwise you are going to face a huge court case and will most likely end up loosing a bunch of money. Can't testify when dead

No its perfectly fine.

A drunk teacher accidentally walked into the wrong house after he was wasted at a party and a guy blew his head off in a suburb by me (I live in Western New York). The teacher was not going to steal anything and hes dead now and the guy has nothing against him because it was an intruder.

this came up in my world studies class about 2 months ago and my teacher said you can but legally you cant cause of the castle something law.

the law says that if the person in your home has a knife then you are only legally alowed to fight them off with a knife. the weapons have to be the same for each person. the dumbest law out there. if a random guy walks in your home and threatens to kill you with a knife or any weapon then you should have the right to blow his brians out with whatever you like.

I remember hearing about this a while ago but in the UK you need to be part of some uptight gun club to own them.? Pretty sure it's something along those lines.
