4bi9 Media "Guacamole Frydaze 11" LAME!

Just watched 4bi9 media's most recent installment of their guacamole frydaze episodes. I generally get a kick out of them. They kinda make 4bi9 look really unprofessional with their content and questionable production quality, but hey, any coverage is good coverage right? Maybe not always...

Anyways, this episode chronicles gaper day at PC. However, 4bi9 for some reason decided it would be a good idea to turn gaper day into "making fun of the queens cup" day.

The queen's cup was a really awesome event for girls because it really pushed them to step their game up, and they really did! They are pushing the sport really hard right now in the right direction, and making fun of it is just rude. I don't understand why guys need to make fun of girls skiing so much.

I know I don't post much, but I see people associated with 4bi9 (and most guys on here in general) making fun of girls skiing all the time. It's uncalled for, the girls are trying hard to push the sport. Why can't you guys see that? And how can you seriously not think this is offensive? They are completely making fun of girls competitors and it's just plain sexist!

To everyone saying I'm a troll - go screw yourselves I've been here since 2005. I rarely have any reason to post, I know you're all a bunch of idiots, I just like watching videos. I don't know why I even try!

the only thing that makes girls skiing worse than it is, is girls who take it so seriously...having a sense of humor would be more progressive than any tricks that got thrown at 9 queens

I just have to step in and stand up for the ladies at 9 Queens and beyond. And this comment IS NOT directed at 4bi9, as I don't believe it was there intent to bash women skiers at all. They are just silly boys(will be boys) having fun.

How do you think it makes the ladies feel when you, and others in this thread, state that no tricks thrown at 9 Queens (or any comp for that matter) are not progressive??!!. How do you think Kaya Turski or Maria Baggie feel when they read comment like that after they've accomplished something never yet done before. *I doubt they read them actually* but just saying.

How do you think Kaya Turski or Maria Bagge and others feel IF they read that their personal accomplishments (First Switch 1080!) are considered insignificant and non-progressive  More is yet to come over the next years, and I for one want to encourage them, not critisize them.

Here is what ESPN Freeski had to say to Kaya Turski

It's the internet, if they really have to put an effort into pushing away comments from 15 year olds, they need to relax and realize it's the internet. Pro male skiers take mad heat on NS and you don't see an article about them on ESPN, why the fuck do girls always get bettet treatment? its just like the jenifa issue on here like a year ago, she got made fun of and freaked out and shit because she was a girl, ive been ridiculed on this website for years and ive never complained about it, because its the internet.


People are always going to hate and always going to talk down on any pro atheltes, male or female and the girls don't deserve any special treatment. If they really get down because of some criticism on NS, they need to suck it up.

Yeah Mary!
Generally I think that NS is a community of decent people, but many of them (myself included) can get carried away on the internet. None of us usually mean what we say and would never say it to the person's face. I haven't even tried to do a switch 10, so it definitely impressed me.
I do with that more pros in general, men and woman, would be involved on NS. I know a lot of them are and a good chunk of the rest probably don't have time to, but people would be less quick to judge if they knew that the person they're talking about was very likely to see it.

Before i watched the video i read most of the thread and i thought i was going to be annoyed/pissed off...

BUTT i actually thought it was hilarious. People do "spoofs" on things all the time, oh well. Yeah they may have been making fun of the nine queens event but im sure 4bi9 didn't mean for it to be harmful.

It was a joke and they did a really good job with the whole thing!

I bet that most of the girls involved in nine queens didn't/won't take offense to this video and are able to laugh at it.
The nine queens event was awesome and the girls there really killed it...It was inspiring to watch.
But 4bi9 killed it too, just in a different way!

I mean why not bring some humor into the whole concept that "girls can't ski" !
People are going to think what they want, better off being funny and playful than mean!

The boys on here get hate all the time. Eheath gets hated on, then he goes and makes a dope edit. Dumont gets hated on, then he goes huge in the pipe. Gus got hated on last year as Team NS's pick for JOSS, then went and made a fucking awesome edit.

Instead of crying about someone teasing you, sack the fuck up, and go and make an edit, and prove them wrong. Channel your anger into progressing your skiing, and going bigger, instead of into threads that are destined to backfire. You do neither yourself, nor womens' skiing any favours by coming on here, and crying about a jokey edit.

I don't have anything to prove - I ski for fun. I'm not trying to push the sport, I obviously wasn't at nine queens. It's lame that guys are making fun of the girls that are trying so hard... girls already get treated un-equally in contests and usually don't even win as much if there's a girls division at all!

I'm not "crying" about it, I'm mad and posting a thread about it to make sure people know how lame 4bi9 is. I used to really like them and overlooked the girl hate, but I don't think I'll support them anymore, and neither should any other girls who actually care about girl's skiing!

I bet those 4bi9 losers are real popular with girls... ya right. I would smack them!
