I can snag one for 425 bucks for a 2.2 dual core with 2gb of ram with 250 gig harddrive. I have never owned a apple computer but would really want one for video/photo edits. Any ns'ers own one, anything to watch out for? Thanks for any input.

those are average specs, amazing price. Do it, then upgrade parts as you go. Add more ram and a better processor and you'll be set :3

ram is cheap and easy to install, but a processor and installation will be hard and expensive

yeah thats a great deal. throw some more ram in it and youre golden. just dont expect to be doing any intense gaming on it or anything, since imacs have terrible graphics. i had an 06 imac for 4 years until i finally junked it last summer. worked great for me. no complaints at all. oh, they overheat easily too, so download a program called SMCfancontrol or something like that and up it to like 3000rpms. late in its life my imac started freezing until i realized that was the problem.
