Ah, skiing. The very reason I joined this website. A sport that has no limitations. A sport that can let you forget about that fight with your girlfriend. A sport that brings us together.
I am writing this because, well, I have never really written about skiing much before and I knew it would have to come out at some point.
Who would have thought that men would enjoy riding down snow - covered hills on two pieces of wood? I know I wouldn't have. I wake up every morning of winter blessed because I know I can ride up to the mountain and forget the stresses of life for a few hours. Hell, even the park lets you forget about troubles.
But nothing will ever beat the wind in your face. Nothing will ever beat the soothing noises of wet snow bouncing off your ski's. Nothing will ever beat the free feeling inside of you as you gracefully carve down the white mountain.
I am writing this without fear of this not flowing because frankly, I do not care. Skiing is much too important to be worrying about that. I am writing because I love our sport. I love every single moment of it. From landing that 270 out to taking your boots off at the end of the day. I love it all.
For me, the joyous feeling of skiing will never die. I will live every day of my life thinking about skiing except for when I'm actually doing it, of course.
Thank you to whoever brought us skiing. I applaud you at this moment. I applaud you for giving me the greatest gift of all and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do.
Bless.
