Anyone here knows if you can get a complete topsheet of a ski (without damaging the ski) and get a new one on there?
I have some all mountain ski's that still ski great but the topsheet is in really bad shape.. I would like to get a wood veneer on there..
Any info is welcome, thanks!

I personally think it would be alot of effort of at all possible, just ski them. They will be fine

The ski's are fine!
Its not that I dont like the graphics, or that I care its from a few years back, but I just think it would be a fun project and a wood veneer looks really stylish..

I wouldn't remove the topsheet, you'll probably fuck the ski trying, and you'll never get it as well sealed ever again. I would take the bindings off then get your local shop to put them carefully through a base grinder upside down, just to take off any big burrs etc and to rough the surface up for gluing. Hit any imperfections with some filler then layer them up with some good 2-part epoxy, slap on your veneer then put an old sheet over them and a bunch of sandbags for a week or so.

Yeah I think thats the way I'll go.. I got an email from a ski builder, he says the fiberglass layer under the topsheet will also come off, so thats not an option..
Thanks

You really need a press and the mold for the ski for a new lamination to have any hope in holding.
