So I am just graduating from high school and would like to take up skiing again. I have done maybe 20 days in my 5 years of high school and am looking for a new set. When I was last skiing I was doing some basic park stuff like 360's and had just gotten into jibbing but was doing this on Head comp skis. I'm looking for a new set of skis, bindings, and boots and would like some suggestions and opinions. I'm about 5' 7", 105lbs (Yes I know I'm crazy light and short for 17). My top choices were Faction Kennedy's or Armada AR7's.

But seriously, Armada Ar7s or k2 revivals with Marker Griffon or Rossi FKS 14 bindings. Don't ask for advice on boots....get the ones that fit you. If several pairs of boots fit you really well (extremely unlikely) then yeah ask advice on them.

Well I'd go with the AR7s.
They will most likely be better for you then the Faction's.
Also, just any good binding except I'd stay away from Rossignals and lines (lol).
For boots, can't help you much on there. I ski on Dalbellos and I like them. They are really comfortable and nice.

Just get something that fits.

Get the softest park ski you can. Lines or something. You're going to have more fun on a ski you can flex.

You and alexg1687 have been the most help. I knew i was gonna get hate for bein' so light but my metabolism and premie-ness was out of my control. The Ar7's were my favourite for the skis and now I'll just wait until end of season to pick them up. Thanks

have you tried the ar7s? those aren't super soft skis. And like I said, I think you will have WAY more fun on a ski you can flex more easily.

The AR7s arent that soft. They're pretty stiff through the middle. I'd be tempted to say go for something about that stiffness because if the skis are too soft you won't get much feel out of them and you may even lack control in regular skiing.

this is true, be careful with a pro level ski like that. theyre super stiff and pros use them in comps to give you some perspective. am not gonna try to give you a specific ski model, but k2 has really good value for you starting, and length maybe in the mid 150s to upper 150s. honestly if you didnt mind doing this a junior twintip might be a good start, but im 17 too and i dont think id be willing. they are much much cheaper tho

Serious? FKS 14? You are aware that he weighs 107 pounds and this is his first time really buying ski equipment in 5 years, that could be the least thought out post I have ever seen.

To OP, look at a ski like the k2 Domain, Atomic Punx, Line Mastermind, Surface No time, Volk Ledge, Salomon threat with a look px 10 or 12 binding.

You will not have fun on the Ar7s just way to stiff for how much you weigh and how experienced you are in the park.

To answer some people's questions:
Yes I have tried the Armada Ar7's and absolutely loved them. I was comparing them against one friends pair of Liberty LTE's and another's Salomon Twenty Twelve's. Preferred the AR7's over all of them. Out of my twenty days in 5 years, 10 days have been this year and 8 of those have been mostly park sessions with a lot of jibbing. I understand a softer ski will be more playful in a park setting but have I liked the all round stiffness of the AR7's over the LTE's stiff mid, soft tips/tails.
