ibook for sale

a guy at school is selling his ibook for $625us

its 800mhz, 30 gb, cd rom, 12 inch, panther loaded, ms office, bla bla

im a thinking thats a pretty good deal and i was going to grab it.

anyone have any opinion?

Everybody's selling Ibooks lately... that isn't a bad deal. Check the screen to see if it has major keyboard marks on it, that used to happen to older models.

By the way, if anyone wants to buy my 500mhz/640mb/15gig/12.1/airport/OSX10.2 Ibook, I'd let it go for 450 cdn... thing is, it needs a repair on the screen; the screen works, but there's no backlight, so the brightness won't go up. Just thought I'd throw that out there since there seems to be some interest in these things lately.

Then yes, that's a great deal. As long as you know that that's the case, and he's not just TELLING you it's as good as new... trust me, you can tell how well used it is by turning it on, turning the brightness down until the screen is black, and looking the screen in good light from every angle. If you see marks on the screen, then it's been used a reasonable amount. It's obviously worth doing if you're going to invest that much into it. Also, battery life is obviously an issue... if it gets 2 and a half to 3 hours with a full charge, that's pretty good for that generation of Ibook.

ya man i have given it the full inspect and everything is perfect.

like i cant even find a scratch on it.

the only thing holding me up is that i have only used a mac once before.

It's easy to figure out. It'd take you maybe a week, 2 weeks tops to get used to it.
