Replying to Park ski as a second ski
I come from more of a freeride background and my everyday ski is a 189cm 08/09 K2 Seth (98 in the middle, technically with "mini rocker" but it's pretty much non-existent) mounted 2cm forward of K2s "all-mountain" mark. I still love these as a quiver ski. I haven't skied a lot of park but I do like hitting natural / backcountry kickers. Biggest tricks at the moment are double backflips and 7s but I'm finding it pretty hard to throw this kind of stuff on the big planks so really want a ski that I can throw around a bit more easily to learn new tricks in the park.
I'm 25, 6'3'' (190cm) and 205 lbs. I'm looking for a ski almost exclusively for park as I've still got the Seth's for most other things. I hardly ever ski rails so it'll be 98% kickers. I've found a pretty good deal on a pair of 179cm K2 Revivals with Marker Griffon Schizo bindings. How do people who know a bit more about park skiing think these will work for me? I like the idea of the rocker to reduce catching tips and tails. Stiffness-wise, will I be better with a fairly stiff ski like the Revivals as I'm fairly big or, as I'm looking for something completely for park, would I be better on something a bit softer and lighter?
Finally, and I hope that this is a stupid question, would I notice a big difference in swing weight between the Revivals and the Seths for kickers? I'd centre mount them on the Schizos for park so I guess that alone would make a pretty big difference.
