I liked it, but the gymkhana stuff that Block did was a lot more impressive driving. That was a very cool machine though.

I dont think so- its a lot easier to get a 2200lb 550hp car built to slide to do it than an actual race truck designed not to slide but rather to keep planted to the ground

plus the guy has more wins then block could ever think of

you put any professional drifter in blocks car and they would destroy him- its just that awd isn't allowed in drifting so they cant do the crazy tight shit

yeah a street legal 335 hp s13

block drives a 2100 lb 610 hp awd fiesta with a 11k redline that the motor is rebuilt every 2.5k

like I said his car is purpose built for doing crazy slide and tight burnouts - I KNOW I could get in his car and rip shit up-

and if you also look he does most of the shit in that video first try- block there is about 15 runs before he gets it right

and finally the DA car is maybe 20k to build- blocks is 115 grand

when Ken starts winning in WRC ill consider him more than just a media whore like travis pastrana

Pastrana does shit that literally no one else does, and does it better than anyone else could. Media whore? Look at 99.9% of famous people and tell me they are more talented than Pastrana.

pastrana jumps specially constructed jumps for the attention of the media- look at a guy like Walter Rohrl- he was sending jumps bigger than Pastrana into crowds while actually racing and winning the world championship in mud and turns- not a motocross style jump

like I said- when it comes time to actually put it down on the track niether pastrana or block can hang with the big boys

It's because Travis was winning the big big events and as probably the most recognised motocross bike rider of sorts, you can't expect anything less.

Travis is a pioneer of freestyle motocross, there's no doubt about it, and I wouldn't say Ken Block was the best, what he does is incredible, but It's entertainment, and a very good advertisement for Ford and Monster + other sponsors.
