If some kid told me to get out of the way when i was not moving as he ripped by I would chase him down and stab him in the face and ask him to politely get out of the way of my pole. sure people stand in dumb places, but that is part of skiing on a trail full of people, just because your the best skier on the mountain doesn't mean you gotta be a dick to all the stupid people. if they are really that much in the way you could approach them and explain to them how/what/why they are in the way and where a better place for them to stop would be, so that possibly in the future there will be less people stopped in stupid places that are in the way. Use your fucking head.

that may be true. but i think its a bit of a stretch to expect every single person on the mountain to be aware of that.

if the guy yelling was in a blind spot and whatever it was happened to him, then it's more his fault. But it would be a dick move to intentionally put an unknowing person in danger by nearly jumping on them... even if they shouldn't be standing there.

Surely park eitquette / Rules over-ride the others of the mountain given that it is probably one of the most dangerous parts of the mountain? all that don't block run-in's and landings stuff....

this is false. Downhill skiers ALWAYS have the right of way. the only time this rule is overridden is when the downhill skier is stopped. In which case, the downhill skier MUST yield to uphill traffic.  It sounds to me like this dude was stopped, in which case he did NOT have the right of way.

Sounds like he was standing still in the way, or just being a douche and skiing stupidly slow on the inrun for a jump.. Which are both mega retarded, he has pretty much no reason to explode IF that is the case.

Also.. There's no need to explode at the guy in blue when he's being pretty polite and calm.

I got the impression that he was standing in a bad spot, and a kid blew by him anyway (clearly too close for his comfort), and yelled "Get out of the way" and the guy flipped out.

I love how in most of these sorts of videos, the old guy is the one losing his mind and the kids tend to stay polite and rational. In this one, you can hear the kid saying, "Sir, would you please calm down. I totally understand..." and the guy is just like FFFUUUURAWRR

i hate a slower person in front of me too, and i moderately suck, but for fucks sake, the people in front of you don't have eyes in the back of their heads, and you generally look where you're going not necessarily to what's behind you. so if you're speeding up to something in front and try to cut it off, you're fault if you didn't take the precautions to avoid the accident YOU SAW coming.

Dude needs to chillax himself. Why be standing in the way if you aren't going to drop? Same with standing in an exit choke, I'd expect someone to tell me to gtfo of the way especially if it was a congested day.

Dont know the situation at all, but if this guy was just crossing through the park in the jumpline, like I see so many idiots do, they might as well just run across the track during a Monster Truck show or a motocross event...



I'm not saying anyones at fault, but when I see guys flipping shit like this saying they are either "going to kill them" or "if they would have hit me, i would have killed them" then I lose a bit of trust for their side of the story.


I've been hit before being the downhill skier by a guy who was out of control and didnt know what he was doing. Shit was silly, but I didnt freak out at him, I just told him to watch out next time, and went on my way.... if you're not hurt, no harm no foul... stop freaking out, and go enjoy the rest of your day.
