yeah they did. everyones dissapointed but thats cause the park manager moved to CO and someone died so now are park is lame. slowly getting better though

im just giving u a hard time. i know its hard to give pc shit bc they haven't been up to par this year but i also came from a hill with 3 flat rail about 5-10 ft long and one jump, so im somewhat grateful but on the other hand i didnt move across the country to ski more flat features. pc looked so fun in the past! i just wanna ski jonesys!

well i'm very sorry to hear that. but the fact remains that A LOT of the people who ride pc moved here from outa state, into mormonville, strictly because of how sick the skiing is. we came on a pilgrimage for one of the best parks in the world, and now we're not getting it bc pc is too busy building 40 ft tall hips and sketchy transfer jumps to actually maintain a good park everywhere else.

and to the people talking about wallisch, the guy won't even touch kings crown, ps's biggest park. if tom fucking wallish is sketched out by how pc is building their jumps, there's a problem.

    Eh the parks do suck this year. Theres a few fun set-ups but PC has been whoring their parks out for money to big companies for park shoots instead of catering to the pass holders that trek up there 90+ days a year. It snowed a fuckload this year and theres been many epic pow days there sooo it makes up for it.

    Heard this about a few parks this year, but to complaints always come as the seasons about to end. Seems to me that if someone had spoken up and gotten this kind of feedback during the year, it would have the potential to change something mid year and turn the park around....

    I honestly don't know how Pc can fuck up setting up rails but this year proved me wrong. Everything just looks so half-assed rails and taps set up so you can see their footing/foundation and crooked. I can think of 8 east coast resorts that blow Pc out of the sky this season. I blame it on the Pc marketing team- this whole "I ride Park City" slogan is nonsense. The people who pay are on the sidelines and the skiers that are getting paid hit well mannered and groomed features.

    how can you blame it on the marketing team? it's the park crew's and Cooper's fault that the jumps suck. it's not their fault that the marketing team decided to pull their shitty marketing plan on top of the horrible excuse for a park they have up right now.

    how many times did you go out of your way to schedule an appointment with the park manager, and share your, and the other riders complaints?

    While it isnt your responsibility to ensure that the park is up to snuff, you shouldnt expect it to change unless you speak up.

    seriously, you sound like a child running around in an R rated movie.

    Last year they paid attention to everything on newschoolers and facebook, and made changes accordingly to all of our complaints. It was a good way of keeping communication between us and the park manager and everybody was happy. since you haven't been riding here and don't know what's going on you obviously were not aware of that and are therefore, out of your element.

    Damn... complete opposite situation for us in steamboat. Our park usually sucks dick. this year, (though our big park didn't open till january8th) it was fuckin sweet. Jumps were good and poppy, steep landings. they build a bunch of new rails n shit so that was sweet too. Of course its no breck or keystone, but its a big improvement

    Sorry to hear about PC, hopefully they'll step it up next year for all you PC shredders

    Im taking about park's being closed for shoots- thats the marketing team not cooper. Which means the park crew focuses it's time on making the sponsors happy instead of tending to features and whatnot. It's the management breathing down the park crews' back thats causing this unacceptable bullshit!

    Hmmmmm... Breck's had the best maintained park for the last few years but I'm still looking for more (aka give me a park lift, high speed, that isn't swamped by noobs)- if Keystone really bails (another thread) I'm gonna shit a brick. Sorry to hear about PC- they do deserve better given the amount of talent they pump out. Hopefully next year is a better year.

    my home mountain.... really nice park this year. there jumps r so sick. steep landings. lots of pop but maybe a little less pop on like a 30 u feel like ur 20 feet in the air. obviously your not but still. never been to breck so i cant compare and i dont know how the parks r set up out there but loons starts with a 10 foot jump and ends with a 60... along with tons of rails and like 8 main "sections" of the park.

    Well I've never been to Breck or Keystone, but Mammoth's jumps have always seemed awesome to me and the chair for main never has a line, it's high speed, and they manage to keep gapers out of the park really well. There's never really groups of kids waiting to hit features either.

    bitch i didn't even have a home mountain...i skied like 10-12 days a year until i moved my ass to utah. and when i moved here i was expecting a top10 park and it ended up being horseshit and not that fun. so fuck off with your stupid "my home mountain sucks" shit because really nobody cares. we just want to ride the dankest park we can is that so much to ask?

    yeah, never been to mammoth but friends have told me that landings had a little impact compared to breck...but the one mountain that has kinda taken a step back in terms of hype is blackcomb, and they have such fun jumps, definitely on par with breck and key.

    park city had all this hype about making three kings twice as big this year, i would rather have last years jumps and smaller park then this years shit. also the step over they built in kings when they had the airbag up for monster team atheletes looked amazing and the public was never allow to hit it. breck looks so much better

    I think that the level of their park has sort of gone with the level of riding their park crew is capable of. Im not calling them out to be a dickhead, but seriously, they have one skier who cant hit shit, A bunch of snowboarders who can hardly hit shit, and one hot girl. Keystones park crew is an even mix of skiers and boarders, and they all fucking shred. You can see keystones crew doing switch cork nines on their big line, but will never see pcs crew hitting a dfd rail. I think that a better skilled rider can build a better park, and that seems to have been evident this year. Or at least if they had some more ambition to not build things in a shitty fashion. Im pretty let down by the park overall this year, really hope next year will be muuuuch better.

    I rode the lift with the assistant park manager the other day. His name is escaping me at the moment, but he said straight up that PC blew almost their entire terrain park budget on that ridiculous Monster bag jump/Kings step over bullshit at the beginning of the season. Nice.

    simply put, PC could easily be the best park in North America. They have the money (when it's not being pumped into the Monster team bank account), the weather, the snow, and most of all, the talent pool. Unfortunately, it just didn't happen this year, and unless things change pretty drastically, it's not going to happen any time soon. it sucks because early season PC was SO sick, then just quickly declined from there.

    Call me naive, but it saddens me to think that an activity like skiing and a resort like PC could be put in such a corporate stranglehold, just like every other industry. I suppose it's to be expected, everyone is just trying to make a buck after all.

    at the very least, I don't expect to go to Park City ("world class resort") at noon on a beautiful sunny day and have the park not be groomed at all, midwest-esque ruts going in and out of features, rails quite literally falling over, and not a park crew worker anywhere in sight. I grew up in Wisconsin, so I have skied my fair share of shitty parks. Yesterday, and for a good amount of this season, Park City has straight up sucked. Real fucking talk.

    loon is my home mountain as well, and when I skied PC this feburary I thought the park (3 kings) was amazing. Yes the features wernt that innovative, but they slid perfect, the jumps were good, and the snow was great.  Loon's awesome but cant really compare to PC
