its like legalizing weed. do you think just because it's legal everybody is going to do it? probably not. maybe at first, but then people would realize it's really not that big of a deal. like tits. having no mods would lead to lots of porn and graphic shit being posted, at first, but then it would die off. once the children got over that urge to satisfy their freedom of expression and get a few giggles. but who gives a shit any way. if NS was really concerned about the site not being about skiing, then scrap the NSG altogether and make it a skiing site. there's a bunch of crap on here already, just "safe for work" crap.
to me, mods make this shit less fun. "hi, i feel the need to hold your hand and exercise the little power i have in this world to feel superior, and do away with distasteful remarks even if it is completely inconsequential in the long run." but really, it's the internet. why take it so seriously as to feel it needs to be supervised. i wouldn't be against the reds monitoring what goes on and once in a while doing a bit of a clean up, but having greens looking over your shoulder all day as if what you post is a big fucking deal seems rather pointless. ohnoes, boobs in the hot girl thread. like we've never seen them before..
