Motion Optical Flow: Help

I'm having a little trouble using Apple Motion: Optical Flow, Once I get my slowed down clip from FCP into motion, I turn on the optical flow. When I go to slow down the clip even more. It becomes shorter. Then when I go back to Final Cut, I have the smooth slowed down clip but the clip is much shorter and doesn't use the entire shot I originally sent into Motion. Please help, +k for good stuff.

Sorry im on a phone, didnt want to be a dick. Press apple j and do it through there. Activate the ripple sequence and it should work if not. Tak your slowed clip and make it longer by clicking thr end of the clip and pulling it

so before i even put the clip into motion i need to extend it and let it just over-right so it'll be long enough? what does the ripple sequence do?
