Olympic freeskiing: who will represent their country?

Just wanna hear who you guys think will be in russia in 2014 trying to get a medal for their country.

Who will the teams be for slope (assuming it gets accepted) and pipe? Discuss.

thats a long way away, theres so much that can happen. but i think its a guarantee Torin will be one of the riders riding for the US, Devin Logan will probably be one of the chicks reppin the US for the women.

There were two Chinese girls in the finals of Vancouver, and think how long SB pipe has been in the olympics now - 14 years. Still no Asian dominance.

Really?

I don't doubt his drive but dude he is a long ways out and will be very old by the time the Olympics rolls around.  The face of freeskiing changes quite frequently because of injuries and new kids.  I wanna agree with you but I can't.

Look at shaun and how long he has been dominating in snowboarding.

Now they have an even bigger reason to stay and get on top of their game.

Im gonne say simon, tanner, colby, kevin etc. will still be around.

i'll be rooting for everyone who competes, though. i know nationality is a huge part of the Olympics, but i couldn't care less what country the best pipe skiers are from, i'll just cheer for the best pipe skiers.

this will be interesting to see the focus from individual to more nationality based competition. that being said, i think there is going to be a huge overhaul of the current athletes that are competing. 3 years is a long ass time away, meaning more and more kids who still havent hit their skiing prime, will be competing. i will be looking for the torrin yater-wallace generation of pipe skiers to be killing it at the olympics.

It'll be interesting to see if Tanner can make it in. Unless Torin gets horribly injured or falls of the face of the planet, I'm pretty sure he'll have a spot given that there's still 3 years 'til Sochi.

If you watch Like a Lion, you clearly know that Tanner has wanted to ski pipe on an Olympic level for a long time. If anyone can come back after 2 blown ACLs and 2 broken legs to make it to Olympic ski pipe finals it's Tanner. Sure he might be a bit older than some of the competitors, but he's got experience, resiliency, and determination on his side. His passion for skiing is unreal. As far as I know, he's officially been given the green light from his doctors to return to skiing. Green light for Tanner means it's go time. He's got 3 years to get ready for this. I hope we will all see him there and maybe just maybe he'll take the gold home for the US.
