you are looking at it in a very black and white issue kind of way. Insurance companies will begin to deny claims by people who have diseases that COULD have been cause by diabetes. We dont want that. As well, many people, myself included, believe that everyone should have access to good medical service regardless of wealth. I dont think it is right to deny some one basic care that could save their life.

both the far right and far left are equally retarded. id say im much more conservative than i am liberal, but your average hard core conservative is only conservative when its convenient, when it might risk their money or health, they are quick to change to liberal values without realizing it. the far left does the same thing.
i really cant take anyone who says they are a hardcore liberal or conservative seriously. both sides are just too fucked.

i really do love america, and i am proud to be an american. ive traveled all over the place, spent about a year in canada over multiple visits. been all over europe, australia, south america, etc.. i travel a shit ton. and ive also been all over the US.
and after all my traveling, i still would rather be living in the US over everywhere else. australia is a very close 2nd choice. canada is pretty far down on the list.
but that being said, some of the shittiest places ive ever been to happen to be in the US. i cant stand places like LA, boston, NY etc..
but there are so many more amazing places in the US it makes it easy for me to ignore the shitty places.

as long as the police and military can own automatic guns the citizens need to be able to also. a citizen should be able to carry what an average foot soldier can carry. with the correct background checks, training and safety classes, etc..

i own two "assult" rifles, ive used both for hunting, and they are both fun as shit for target shooting. many "assult" rifles, like the AR and AK platform are some of the best rifle platforms you can buy. ive got a couple friends that do tactical competitions with assult rifles, where they go through multiple 30 round magazines. i just use my 30+ round magazines for destroying whatever im shooting at more effectively, because i enjoy shooting and going through a 30+ round magazine as quick as you can is fun.

If there's anything I have gathered about talking politics and global issues through my travels it's that Americans, although not the only ones, are usually the quickest to categorize people to a certain political ideology.

What I mean is that we have such an obsession in this country about trying to contest. We argue for the sake of arguing when it basically stems down to all wanting the same things. It's prevalent anywhere you look in our society. Good vs evil, right vs wrong, left vs right, hollywood glamorizations, political commentators making millions, they all run our daily lives. It's very rare I meet someone educated enough to talk of such important measures and do it while accepting the person they are speaking with as a human and not trying to lump them into being just a "conservative", "liberal", Christian, or any other gross generalization one can make. Even those who we elect to be the leaders of this country are subject to the same ignorance. The people WE voted to be placed in charge of ensuring we are protected in our daily lives. They are caught up in the same simplistic mentality that is all over this forum and consequently American politics.

But seriously, you are going to find extremist nuts on both sides of the political fence. Presently in the U.S., the left wing is calling the shots. You can't blame conservatives if you don't like the status quo. ... although people are still trying to blame Bush for our current economic situation. Those arguments get funnier and funnier by the day.

Why don't you just go read a book instead? Really, though, socialized healthcare just works better. No more$ 25,000 headaches. If doctors get a salary, there's no reason for the typical smorgasboard of unnecessary tests.

if i wanted to i could get an appointment for a consult with the orthopedic surgeon for the SJ sharks, SF giants, OAK Raiders, and USA rugby next week, an mri the same week, and surgery the following week...all covered by my insurance. this would be for torn labrum.


could i do all that, with that quality of Dr. in that amount of time in canada?


I want to be able to choose my quality of healthcare, when i can have that healthcare, and what that healthcare will involve. That is why i like privatized healthcare.


I still believe that we should provide free minimum healthcare to all, our citizens, but those choosing private should pay a smaller tax. I think first world healthcare is a human right as a member of a first world society.
