One former CSIS agent gave the claim some credibility, saying billions are being lost in the theft of scientific and commercial data. And in 2002, Ottawa expelled two Russian military attachés on suspicion of espionage."

every world power has spies in every other world power. it's nothing new or rare and it's usually small stuff like influencing international policies in political circles... doesn't that sound very familiar.
