Wat is a bio?

i don't know what a bio is. i heard it for the first time today and ive been skiing for like 8 years. i feel like a noob. fill me in.

You know how a cork is kind of backflipped? Well a bio is frontflipped. Or at least that is how it was explained to me.

This really does not make sense. Like everyone has said its a forward thrown cork. Instead of dropping the shoulder that you are spinning towards back you drop your other shoulder forwards. If you are spinning left if you drop your left shoulder backwards you end up doing work, if you drop your right shoulder forwards you end up doing bio.

Well, that is understandable, because in an odd way a cork 7 is basically a 180 to an alley-ooping misty 5. So I can understand that. But if you are going forward with your arm up in the air, then throw is forward across your body, you will flip forward a do a misty.

There have been a bunch of double bios done in comps, but anounchers usually just call them double misty's
