I do not wish death upon anyone...usually. Like anything, there are exceptions.
Ladies and Gentlmen of NS I ask you, "When, if ever, is State sponsored killings justified?"
Reverend Terry Jones and his burning of the Koran has so far directly influenced the deaths of 21 people, a number that continues to grow as anger over his unprecedented and ill-conceived action mounts. His claims of being innocent for those deaths are unfounded, they are a direct consequence of his decision to go forth with the burning, despite the overwhelming international pressure the last time he attempted it.
This is now an issue of Homeland Security, and the States should be entirely justified in prosecuting him as a terrorist. He has single-handedly undone all the good the US and Coalition forces have done in Iraq, Afghanistan, and in the Middle East and has put every soldier, marine and airman's sacrifice at risk. Take into consideration the enormous increase in stress and tension for current service men/women, and you have a catastrophe with the very real potential to change the course of US/Middle Eastern relations for ever.
At this point, this guy's more of a threat than OBL has posed to the States in the last 5 years, and has the death toll to prove it. What do we have covert CIA Black teams for? Are they not in existence to serve and protect the US, from threats both internationally and domestically? Take this guy out quickly and silently then point at religious extremists, after all it's been done so many times elsewhere they could do it in their sleep.
At the very least detain him, freedom of speech stops when that freedom is abused, the constitution does not protect people who use their right to free speech to incite hate, especially when that hate causes the death of 21 people.
Kill him, or send him to Guantanamo, either way the US must act now or risk complacency to an act that will negate all the work, effort, sweat, blood and tears shed in the "War on Terror" over the last decade.
