Non Autofocus lens on Nikon D3100

I just recently saw a listing on my local craigslist for a Non- HSM Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 lens. I know it's also older. It's only 400 bucks and the guy claims it's mint. I know theres no internal autofocus motor on my Nikon D3100 (blah blah soccer mom camera). I've had my camera for a good few months now and I've absolutely hated autofocus. All I've ever used is manual focus and don't see myself ever using autofocus. So my question is even if i'll never use autofocus do you still think I should purchase a newer lens with an autofocus motor? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You should be okay, buying older manual focus lenses can be very cheap and produce great results.

Just a little update, I got to the guys house and he tells me that it was actually the HSM model, or autofocus model. He literally used it twice and let me shoot around with it so I knew it was in mint condition. He actually just retired so thats why he was selling it. Of course I bought it cause $400 is a steal.
