Just out of curiosity, how many of you are english majors? currently working towards my degree and was wondering what classes you guys have taken that really interested you or you really enjoyed. I'm about to create my fall schedule and am looking for some course that would be fun to take yet go towards an english degree. i know that this varies a lot by college, but there are some great classes out there and maybe if i get enough positive feedback here at school could bring a class into existence. I'm taking wilderness lit right now and love it, a good course and professor makes all the difference.

the reason i studied english is because it's what i enjoy most. and i still have no idea what i want to do with the rest of my life, but i know that i would like to try some new things that i have been wanting to do, but haven't been able to with school. since i have my ESL teaching certification now, I want to start doing that this summer, and then after a year do some traveling while teaching b/c i haven't been able to yet and hopefully put my russian skills to use. i am really excited and overwhelmed by the number of different options i am going to have with that set into place. then in two years or so, i am going to reevaluate everything and see where i'm at. if i really love the teaching, then i will go on to get a higher degree in that or possibly applied linguistics. any degree is valuable if you have your shit together to begin with.
