does anyone know anything about the new line abangs? are they better? i have just seen them in alot of videos by line and they have different bases

Well they dont change except for the graphics. But the step up will have sidewall underfoot and skate deck in the tips. I think.

Afterbangs are good for going straight, hiking rails/urban...that's about it.
The bases are slow, so don't expect to go too fast. They are a lot of fun to butter around on. I didn't like them off jumps (you have to work really hard to not knuckle). They don't really carve well at all (hence going straight a lot, and also a reason I didn't like them off jumps). They are fairly durable, but not "bombproof'. They could be the best urban ski out there (which is what they're advertised for) - very forgiving, making flat landings less painful, and if you have a set drop in (as you would for urban/backyard set-ups/rail jams) you don't have to worry about adjusting speed too much, but at a ski area that's not always the case (unless you're hiking rails, which even then isn't always true).
They're fun for what they are, but not the best park ski out there...or even made by Line for that matter.
