you guys are silly, one minute everyone is all over his dick, the next their "i've always known his music was shit." well man on the moon 1 was one of the most unique, personal and real rap albums to hit it that big in a long, long time, whether u liked it or not.

i am really surprised about him quitting, i doubt he follows through. but if he really feels better this way then good for him, but i seriously doubt his music will be a popular. way too much of his fan base was in stoners

Not sure if it was the same show but I saw him at a High Times show on the 2nd of April in Denver. Didn't see him smoke, but there was so much smoke in there he was high for sure.

He killed it by the way, I hope music continues down the path he is blazing, no pun intended.

Damn, forgot you knew more about my life than I did. No, I actually listened to it a couple times. I never said it wasn't good, but it wasn't that ground - breaking. The person I quoted made it sound like it was "Frampton Comes Alive".

you infered something he didnt imply. the guy you quoted said it was "one of the most unique, personal and real rap albums to hit it that big in a long, long time"...which is undeniably true. he never said it was good; he never said it was influential.

when was the last time an introspective rap album achieved such critical and commercial success? maybe Recovery, but that was more being happy that slim was back, and being himself again.
