what up everyone, this is the finished product of my 'home away from home' for next year. i'm planning on doing a lot of touring around the east coast next winter and decided i needed some decent wheels to get me there! big blocks suck down more gas than small blocks, small block chevies get 8-10 mpg, and that thing is heavy as all hell...

Why on earth would you tour the east coast. If you have time to "tour" the east, why don't you just take the extra 2 days and drive out to Colorado or Utah and tour something that is actually worth touring? Also, strip the interior, throw as many bunks as you can in it, and make it a motel on wheels and rent out a bunk for $15 a night.

Fuck, this thread made me curious and now I kind of want to buy a school bus with some friends and outfit it with beds, etc. There's one up in the Bay Area for $8000.

There are ones by me for 5 grand and they look brand new, and only have 80,000 miles which is nothing for a diesel. I'm really tempted

True, but diesel gets better mpg, is more reliable, and have a running life over 5 times of a gas engine usually

i honestly would feel more straight driving around a kitty van than cruising around in some lifted truck on chrome wheels, decked out in tapout stickers with my gelled hair bro's. i dont feel the need to prove my sexuality to people, unlike some people who may have some doubts..

but a huge amount of them think they are ken block, and this is basically everywhere you go.
certain types of people drive big lifted chrome wheel trucks, its not always true, but more often than not it is. rednecks usually drive regular trucks, you dont see rednecks driving riced out civics, and you dont see wannabe asian gangsters driving bro trucks.

The hicks i see and the ones i know all drive 70s and 80s fords or chevys pretty much, like K20s and F150s, usually lifted a little or a lot. asians drive ricers cuz they saw the movie fast and furious tokyo drift and became inspired

straight up i grew up in northern idaho, i drive a 72 chevy, buuuttt diesels are also popular with the redneck crowd, it usually just takes a more discerning redneck to drive one

however the 10" lift on 37"s with 22" rims crowd is entirely different.

well it usually takes up two parking spaces long in a traditional parking lot, its not as difficult as you would think to find a spot but when you do its usually a fair distance away the hill or where ever it is you need to go :P
