Replying to Boot importance?

How important is it to have a nice boot? How much does the boot affect how you ski in the park?

Here are my options:

1. I can buy this used Salomon boot that fits fine on me, but isn't a great boot for about $150 (sort of looks like a rental though)

2. I can drop the cash on a pair of new Full Tilts(keep in mind, I'm not made of money.)

Which do you think is the better option?
