soo yeah i just built my very own 6 foot boom, turns out my pos tripod cant hold ten pounds or so. its groaning so i took it off. i need to build a cheap as free sturdy tripod to hold this thing, i have 0 budget but a workshop with wood in it and i dont care about retracting legs or even folding. any guides? i googled it
it actually works really well. everything is bolted together and all im planning on using it with is my sisters flip, that thing can take a fall alright compared to real cameras
Get 3 hinges, a wooden triangle, maybe 3" on each side. Get 3 wooden legs, 3" wide, maybe 60-70" long. Attach the hinges to the ends and triangle. Drill a 3/8" screw through the middle of the triangle. Boom, there you have it. Super cheap, ultra sturdy tripod.
Maybe also make an incision in the legs where you can put a rope in so the legs don't slide apart.
