The Story of how AT&T cost me $50,000

So I don't know if anyone is familiar with it, but on ESPN.com there is this betting game called streak for the cash. Premise is that whoever can get the biggest win streak during the month wins a guaranteed $50,000, with a chance at extra $ based on how many wins you got. So coming into around 7 P.M. the last day of the month (yesterday), I had a streak of 24 and was in second place. The leader, with 25, had lost his streak, and I held the tiebreaker, so if I got 1 more W I would have won $50,000. At 8 P.M., yesterday, I had to go to a Financial Investments Club meeting because I was running for an officer position and was going to make my pitch. I thought I would be able to use the internet on my IPhone and make a pick at the meeting to give me a chance at 50 grand. However, THERE WAS NO INTERNET CONNECTION where the meeting was! So I missed the pick, and it turns out side I was going to pick actually won! I was so angry! There was still another prop I could pick, but this one was a complete toss-up, and I ended up losing. How sad!

Morale of the story! Don't buy an IPhone with shitty AT&T service.

if this is true, then holy shit that sucks. why wouldn't you go running and find the nearest computer? if there was 50k on the line i wouldn't care about the meeting

one time i was walking down church st in hartford, and this creepy ass hobo due is walking towards me. at first i was thinking i would sorta walk past him without looking at him because he was creepy looking, but then i thought, no, this guy gets avoided by everyone like the plague, most likely, ill be friendly. so when i got to him on the sidewalk i smiled really big and said "hi how are you?" and he stopped me and said that he was trying to keep a low profile and needed to get rid of some cash because he didnt want to be caught having hot money. he gave me $50,001and a big bag of weed and then he thanked me and kept on walking.

I wouldn't say that, I couldn't have known that I wouldn't have internet connection. And having an officer position in the Investments club not only gives me a lot of experience managing a portfolio (the club gets to build a $250,000 portfolio built from the University's endowment), but it is also a great thing to talk about at an interview. I'm not actually not that angry, shit happens!
