How do you prepare yourself for a 270 off if my right foot is the leading foot?

for pretzel you want to bend your knees a little and lift your right toe and pop and it comes right around.

Depends which way you want to come out of it. If you want to come out forwards;

Tip dip your front (Right) foot before you get to the end of the rail. When there is about a foot left, sharply turn your right shoulder to the left, followed by your head. Once you go backwards you are almost there, just keep on turning your head and eventually you will see forwards, stomp that shit.

If you want to land switch; (Pretzel spin)

Dip your tail before you have 1 foot left of the rail, than turn your shoulders / head sharply to the right. For pretzels I like to give a little bit of a hop, gives me a bit more time in case I need it. Landing backwards is a joke so no need to explain the rest, lol.

As the people before me have said, if you want to come out switch, put pressure on the rail with your right heel and spin as your skis come off the rail. if you want to come out riding forward, bend your right knee to put pressure on the rail with your toe, and pop of the the rail the rail and spin to forward

I find it easier to try and land on the rail perfectly perpendicular when doing a frontside 270 out, and when doing the backside 270 I find it easier to land on the rail with my tips facing more towards the end of the rail.

But other than the advice given, all you have to do is hike a rail until you get it. It'll come.

Yeah, basically for a back 2 out jump on the rail already looking over your left shoulder a little bit and and it will basically just kind of happen....looking over your shoulder is crucial for blind spinning. Front side spins are basically the same way except you want to use more edge.

how am i ignorant? and the trems i used were correct and the person i quoted was talikng about pretzel 2s out.
then u brought up blind 2s out.

outside and frontside mean the same thing, as well as blind and backside mean the same thing. but there 2 differnt tricks, i was taliking about frontside 270s out, ur talikng about blindside 270s out!

actually the term pretzel comes from where you spin out the different way then you spun on and it suprisingly to you 90 degrees is considered spinning. we all cant spin like tod wallnutz but we can still use the term pretzel.

and its blindside out outside. we are always outside so why would we use that term that is just retarded

pretzel means, by definition: "spinning 180 or more onto a feature and spinning 180 or more off a feature the opposite way you spun on"

outside 270 means ur tips are spining down the hill first /away from the rail. it means the same thing as frontside. this is commonly refered to as a pretzel 2 out, but pretzel should only be used in the terms that i stated above.

I think you first need to be a legit skier to have a legit skier back you up. a preztel is just spinning out the opposite way you spun on show me somewhere besides an ns thread from some other retard like you who thinks they own the term pretzel but cant do it.

I still have not been able to front side 270 off.  It drives me nuts.  For backside or blindside 270 off, what helped me was turning my upper body uphill and spotting the top of the rail just before I popped.  That may sound obvious, but I think a lot of people try to pop and throw their feet around.  It's basically the same thing as setting a spin off of a jump.  If your shoulders aren't starting to move into the rotation before you leave the ground, you will not spin.  When I was trying to learn BS 270 off, I kept hitting my tips on the rail.  Your skis need to trail behind your body when you pop so you have time to get clearance above the rail.  Hope that makes sense.

when i first did mine i did a backside and just spun off and the second time it just clicked. Just keep trying and spinnign off

Read the first post in the thread you posted. Minimum of 270. If youre going to tell someone nonsense and then back it up. At least make sure your back up actually backs you up.

Thats about all I could find off Newschoolers. Basic Consensus, it's spinning on while spinning the opposite off, The amount of spin, varies from source to source. so I would say it depends on the person. The main thing about a pretzel is changing your momentum and spinning in the opposite direction

and also, some of the names commenting on that video are pretty well known and probs know what they are talking about.
