Hi guys wondering if you can help me, at the moment im skiing in Val thorens and i can hit the red line, the kickers are between 25-25 feet. The next line up is the black and the jumps are 35 ft+, i haven't hit them yet. is the 10 feet make much difference in the air ? i think im just being a pussy.
and the ~10ft difference is negligible... if you're comfortable with your airs.
To progress to the bigger jumps, just straight air bigger jumps until the speed and air time become more familiar. Most people get sketched out on the speed required to hit larger jumps, not so much the size of the jump itself. As you get more comfortable, then bring some smaller tricks to the bigger jumps.
I second following someone in. Just dont be the noob that gets really far behind and freaks out and tries to catch up because you feel you're going too slow and you overshoot.
Really once you get the speed dialed it's not a big deal at all. Just don't forget to keep your weight forward, it's way more important on big jumps.
