Rockered ski question

Ok guys so i'm 6'2 and 210 lbs so a pretty big guy and i was wondering would a 181 rockered park ski be to small? This is only thing holding me back from the filthy moneys or really any other rockered park skis for that matter

Kinda depends on the amount of rocker. If its just a bit in the tip and tail, you should be ok. If it's got deep, pronounced rocker, I'd size up!

you should look at the Rossi S3, they are pretty sweet in the park, and they come in a 186-ish?

We measure true, so the Filthy Rich comes out longer than a lot of other 181's (some companies measure off flat length or something different). That being said, depends if you like long or short park skis. A rockered 181 will feel shorter than a fully cambered one on hardpack, no doubt, but if theres a slightly stiffer than you'd usually like flex (trust me) and some camber underfoot, they can support you fine. There are only a few companies making these currently, so your options are going to be more limited if you size up.

Rockered park skis are just a little different, kinda something you might want to try before diving into. They're... interesting. Playful. Not that they cant be serious and rock solid when you need them to be off jumps or crazy sketchy landings, but they're just more friendly for messing around when you're being lazy and goofing off. For me, especially once I'm back on snow, thats the kinda skiing I end up doing anyways.

In my opinion, YES!

I'm a 5'4" female and I ride 176 S7's and man handle the fuck out of them. I would have no problem going up into the mid 180's.

BUT, the S7's are VERY rockered... So I guess it depends how much rocker there is. With twin tips you're already losing extra centimeters in the back, and then when you add the rocker you lose a shit ton more. I would be up in the 190's if I were you.

But try demoing them, they might work for you! Each to their own...

To the OP, I think that unless the ski is of a stiffer flex, the 181 will be too short. I used to ride 185 reg camber park skis and they were just a tad short imo, im 6'2" and 175. I ski pretty hard. I rode the Alpha1s in a 181 and while they were a ton of fun, a 186/88 length would have been tits.

Haha. First of all, I have TWO friends who ride 191's. (They are like 6'3" though, shit's crazy.)

Second of all, I missed the "park ski" part, my fucking bad, DUDE.

Lastly, I don't know why anyone would want to ride rockered park skis... especially someone who's already big/tall.

I was looking at the S3 freeride as a park ski as well, it's good to hear some else enjoys them in the park. If you want a rockered park ski I would look at something with a reverse camber rocker, although salomon skier showed me his fat-ypus park skis and they are flat under foot with a straight rocker like someone bent them on the tips and tails and he said he likes them alot.

I know of no skis being made by any manufacturer that would be considered "park" and have full reverse camber.
